Ownership and Funding

Readers deserve to know who is behind what they’re reading and how it’s paid for. Here is the plain answer.

Who owns Sanewords

Sanewords is an independent publication founded, owned, and edited by Liaqat Hussain. There is no corporate parent, no investor group, and no political party or organization with a stake in it. Editorial decisions are made independently, without outside approval.

How Sanewords is funded

Sanewords is reader-supported. Today that means a free newsletter, with optional paid subscriptions planned for readers who want to support independent analysis and access additional work. The site does not currently run display advertising and has no sponsorship arrangements.

Some articles — mainly product coverage on the Tech & Gadgets desk — may contain affiliate links, which are always disclosed in the piece itself and explained in full on our Affiliate Disclosure page. Affiliate revenue, where it exists, never influences a verdict or recommendation.

Editorial independence

No funding source — reader, advertiser, or affiliate program — sees a piece before publication or has any say in its content. If that ever changes for a specific article (for example, a sponsored feature, which Sanewords does not currently publish), it would be labelled clearly as such. See our Editorial & Corrections Policy for the full standard we hold ourselves to.
